Staffed Residential Programs

SA, Inc. provides several licensed Staffed Residential Home Programs throughout the State of Washington, typically for children/youth between the ages of 6 - 17 years old. This program establishes a child centered home living environment for (2) to four (4) children and is tailored to provide a high level of staffing twenty-four (24) hours a day. This community-based program focuses on the child’s individualized needs, and supports and provides opportunities that encourage developmental gains while increasing independence and self-esteem. Service emphasizes the following: safety and security, positive behavior support, valued outcomes, individualized care, independence, family involvement, and community involvement, all in the least restrictive setting possible. Individual futures planning is facilitated and this service can be time-limited, however has the capability to serve children that will need a high level of staffing support services for an unspecified period of time. Most often, this service is provided through referrals from Division of Developmental Disabilities for children/youth involved in the Voluntary Placement Program, however, this category of service can also be accessed through DCFS.
